Lets take water as your main argument for global scarcity. Israel has turned a desert green. The technology has been here for decades. What is still missing is a properly working economy. You’re an engineer so you must appreciate the problem with having the wrong discipline controlling an unrelated system. I’m sure you would be concerned with a politician designing a rocket engine. Our economy is controlled by commercial banks and their desire to sell their commercial products. The economy is an engineer-able system that needs to be optimized for people not financial products.
