I think you answered your own concern. Technology is an empty pursuit because it is a non-human pursuit. In a way it is the difference between writing down a todo list on paper and keeping a todo list on a phone. The paper is real, the act of writing connects us to what we have to do. The list in the phone becomes lost amongst all the other apps that want our time and attention. Life is not digital, life is analog. The tech giants have it all wrong, the future is human and analog, because ultimately our most human instinct is survival, to stay alive, and technology is not life it is its opposite. And since life is fundamentally what we mean by what is good, all consuming technology is therefore the opposite of what is good. And the opposite of good is EVIL.
